Larry Cratty
The owner of the Parker House, Larry Cratty, passed away February 22nd 2014. Liver cancer claimed his life the day after his 71st birthday. He and his wife, Diann Cratty, owned and operated the Parker House Hotel for over twenty years. They have carried on the "Parker House Hotel" name but all the locals know it as "The Cratty Shack". He was a guy with a big heart and never seemed to turn down anyone in-need. I remember when a stranger would come into the bar he would be the first to introduce himself and strike up a conversation. When friends came in he loved to push peoples buttons to see if he could get them riled up. It was all good fun but if they got too sensitive I have never seen him walk away from an argument either. The front porch swing was one of his favorite places to relax and take in some fresh air. As much as he liked to push peoples buttons I think he really loved people. Weather a regular at the bar or if it was their first time in the Parker House he wanted to spend time with them and get to know them. His love of his wife "Sweet Pea" Diann, his children, and grandchildren was truly a beautiful thing. His wife Diann and loving family continue on the Cratty Shack legacy. He is loved and missed by so many people.
Gray Bo
Gray Bo and Larry Cratty were best friends. He remembers when the Parker House became The Cratty Shack back in the 90's. Gray Bo likes the Parker House because he feels comfortable there and it feels like home. He thinks the Parker House is special because of all the good people he has met there. He enjoys playing pool, watching sports, the scenery of Parker, going to "Trout Camp", and taking care of the Parker House. The friends he has meet in the Parker House have become "like family" over the years.
